The National Golf Club is one of Australia’s only 54 hole private, member-only golf clubs. In January 2016, The National’s ‘Old Course’ excitedly cracked the World Top-100 to sit prestigiously at #87. Designed by three of the world’s leading golf architects – Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones Jr and Peter Thomson, each course (Moonah, Ocean, & the Old Course) provide three distinct and unforgettable golfing experiences.

ABOUT THE COURSES
Old Course: Newly ranked #87 in the World, this course is generally hilly, combining amazing coastal views, challenging ball carries and slick, undulating putting surfaces. Visually, the Old Course comprises a number of holes with ocean and rural views all framed by the natural Tea and Moonah trees which are common on this part of the Mornington Peninsula.
Moonah Course: Boasting stunning rural and ocean panoramas and occupying an attractive series of jumbled dunes and ridges, ‘Moonah’ demands every creative shot that you can muster. To score well at here you need to get through the first eleven holes without too many scars, as the battle to maintain your solid score coming-home is extremely tough.
Ocean Course: Whilst located next to the Moonah Course, is a complete contrast to its neighbor. With many slick, sloped greens, even the best putter can easily walk-away with numerous 3 putts. Links style pot bunkers placed strategically in the middle of fairways punish those brave enough to try to take them on. It’s stunning Bass Strait and Tasman Sea views will leave you wanting more.
